ROSS, Eva Bartlett

Mt. Zion May 24 – Mrs. Eva Ross, wife of Charles Ross died at the home of her son, Harry Ross, yesterday morning at 6:30 o’clock. Mrs. Ross has been afflicted for several years but was confined to her home only a few months. Complication of diseases was the cause of her death.  She was born June 6, 1869 and was 49 years 9 months 17 days of age.  She united with the church here at the age of 12, under the pastorage of Rev. David Evans.  Mrs. Ross’ maiden name was Bartlett. She was united in marriage to Charles Ross, Jan 7, 1887. To this union four sons were born: Jesse, near Jamestown; Calla near Advance; Harry at whose home she expired and Samuel at home.  Other immediate relatives are her companion, Charles Ross, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Bartlett near Ladoga; one sister, Mrs. Al Kiser, near Ladoga; two brothers, Ed Bartlett of Terre Haute and Noah Bartlett, near here and four grandchildren. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at ___ at Mt. Zion with Rev. JS Clossin in charge of the services. Interment will be made in the IOOF cemetery at Jamestown.
